The HISPC Project has come to a close at the end of July and the Intrastate and Interstate Consent Policy Options Collaborative—Final Report (pdf) has been released from RTI.  Download from the link above.  Thanks to all who contributed!

1) assess organization-level business policies, practices and state laws that affect health information exchange within the state

2) work closely with RTI, NGA, and other states and territories to exchange information and experiences regarding interoperable health information exchange barriers and best practices

3) identify and propose practical solutions that protect privacy and security of health information exchange and permit interoperable health information exchange

4) develop plans to implement solutions within the state and, if applicable, at the federal level.

Phase 2 is complete; there was a six month implementation extension process

Phase 3 is now complete as of 7/31/2009
